Copy of About Katherine Feeney

Hi! I am Katherine Feeney.

Currently living in Squamish, rock climbing, building a career, and growing this beautiful Nourished Boss business.

My aim here is to be open and honest.

The nourished boss purpose is to share what has helped me and others go from diet junkie to healthy & happy. I value my health first and foremost. My desire is to have the energy and focus needed to achieve all that I want in my career and life.

The truth is you don't need to obsess over every bite, or feel guilty for eating a cheeseburger on a casual Tuesday to be healthy.

I believe that supporting your body and mind with nourishing foods and vitamins is far more important than a *dream* dress size or specific weight goal.

You don't need:

To follow a specific diet type.

1,347 diet products.

1200 calorie meal plans.

And, you definitely don't need to eat salads all the time and skip meals.

“It's never been true, not anywhere at any time, that the value of a soul, of a human spirit, is dependent on a number on a scale. We are unrepeatable beings of light and space and water who need these physical vehicles to get around. When we start defining ourselves by that which can be measured or weighed, something deep within us rebels.  We don't want to EAT hot fudge sundaes as much as we want our lives to BE hot fudge sundaes. We want to come home to ourselves. (p. 174-5)”

My Journey to Healthy & Happy:

Before I understood what being healthy really means, I was diet obsessed. Anything that was thought to be unhealthy, I avoided. I counted calories like it was my second job. Didn't partake in birthday cakes at the office. And ordered salads with dressing on the side at restaurants. I took it way too far and ended up being really sick. My body was malnourished, hair falling out, and I was completely losing focus at work. I felt like I was walking around in a foggy abyss.

I was physically, mentally, and emotionally depleted.

I knew that I needed to change my relationship with food and my body. That I needed to GIVE my body and mind wayyy more nourishment and support.

So, I studied natural nutrition. I started caring MORE about how I felt and less about the number on the scale. The more I focused on FEELING energized, focused, and fully nourished, the less I paid attention to calories and other crap that the dieting world tries to pass off as "healthy".

More than anything, I wish to inspire you to focus more on how much energy and brain power you have rather than the label on your jeans.
